Girly Floral

At this point, you all know the drill: life got away from me and I was unable to post when I usually do. I apologize for things being a little messy on here but between moving, surgery, and a new full-time job I haven’t had a lot of time. But! Now that I am mostly recovered from surgery, I am working on a new routine to get everything done in the day that I need to! So without any more nonsense, keep scrolling to the rest of the post!

Now I know what you’re thinking: isn’t all floral girly? And maybe for some people but I am here to tell you that that is not always the case friends! I typically like to mix it up; add a little edge to whenever I am wearing an overly feminine outfit. Add docs to a flouncy dress. Some Converse to a skirt. But with this one, I went with the less edgy approach. While the sandals are still chunky and Dr. Martens, the tie-up/string feature adds a little more softness to the shoe.

Let’s start with the romper. It’s flowy, it’s light, it is the perfect summer piece to dress up or dress down. The small floral detail makes it easy to transition from a look like this for a more casual day, into the night with some pumps and a different jacket. The tie straps allow for this to be so versatile for different body types and make it a little easier to find the size and make it work for you! And of course my favorite feature: I don’t have to wear a bra. Any time I can go braless is a win in my book.

For me, the accessories are what made this outfit as good as it is. I am someone who has always loved accessories. Fashion and style have always been about the glasses, the jewelry, and the purses. I love a good hoodie decked out in these fabulous items! So for a fairly simple romper like this, the detail of its construction paired with these gorgeous sunnies really helps to make it so much more. I also wore a simple layered gold necklace to add a little something extra as well. There is a beautiful olive-colored bag I have my eyes on right now that I think would also pair well with this outfit (trade in the jacket for a denim one) so stay tuned for that look!
