Another day, another sundress! But let’s be real, the best part of summer fashion is that you can toss on a sundress or a romper/jumpsuit and be totally out together with little to no thought. Sure you gotta think about the bag and the jewelry and the shoes, but it makes things so much easier when you don’t have to think about the clothing pieces! Since I just had surgery on my abdomen, wearing pants and shorts (really anything with a tight waistband that isn’t high waisted) I will be wearing a lot of dresses and loose clothing over the next month or so! And as much as I love dresses, they can feel a little limiting when you don’t have any other options. So I hope to show you some more exciting ways to style these simple dresses!
Right off the bat, I bought this dress thinking it was floral print and not polka dots. It was my mistake, I didn’t look close enough and loved the cut of the dress! The cute tie around the front and the soft ruffle had me sold. When it showed up with polka dots, I was confused, but ultimately loved the dress anyway! So here we are! The cut of the dress is very flattering, especially to those of us without bobs, and helps to accentuate the length of my legs. The tie in the middle also helps to give me a waist even though I don’t have much of a shape. These are great tools in a dress or jumper if you’re like me and don’t have much of a shape or curves!
Next up, I feel like I need to give these beautiful new white converse a moment! The platform trend has been one of my favorite things since long before every Gen Zer and style icon was wearing it. Platform sneakers, boots, and sandals are all a staple of my closet, so I am so thrilled I finally found these sneakers. If you have also bene on the hunt for a good pair of white sneakers (platform or not) you probably noticed that with everyone in search oh white sneakers, its been hard to find them! So I recommend the second you find ones you like in your size you snatch them up. All of that aside, these shoes worth the wait! As many of you probably remember, I have a pair of lime green platform Chucks that I absolutely adore and these were the perfect, more mellow counter part, to add to the collection. I have never owned a pair of white sneakers, mainly because I knew they would never stay white for long, but you can never go wrong with a good pair of white Chucks, platform or not!
Since I have worn the denim jacket in a bunch of other posts, I don’t feel like I need to write about it anymore. But, everyone reading this needs to make sure they have a distressed, oversized denim jacket so go and find one now ok?
