Made with a Mission Review

As far as my beauty routine goes, I have been doing my best to make sure it is as clean as possible. All of my products are cruelty-free, all safe for the environment as in they don’t contain harmful chemicals, and even though not all of them are vegan, a fair amount has actually turned out to be! So when my friend gifted me a lovely box from a brand called Made with a Mission I was stoked! I had never heard of the brand, but when the first thing I saw when I opened the box was their card explaining that everything was cruelty-free, organic, recyclable and so much more, I was even more excited! Since I know so many of us are trying to have cleaner beauty routines and practices, I wanted to give a quick review and overview of the products I received!

For starters, Made with a Mission is a company that seeks out independent artisans and then uses its platform and virtual storefront to help those artisans sell and market their products. It was founded by two women who wanted to create products for conscious-minded people and also to help artisans sell their products better. Below, I have linked all of the products I have, and given a little review of each! Keep on scrolling!

Here are the four soaps/bath teas I received! Aside from this they also offer two candles and then some lotions (I have one of the lotions) but everything else are these soaps and bath teas. A blanket review I want to make across the board here is that no matter what you get from them, the packaging is gorgeous. It all has the logo, but then has beautiful coloring and abstract artwork on it, but also keeps it all very minimal and pretty. Absolutely love it!

So this first soap here is a 3 in 1 shampoo, body wash and shave cream bar that is designed to meet all of those needs at once. It is meant to be very conditioning and softening but also effective in cleansing. The smell is amazing and very subtle, but it just smells so clean and fresh without being overly perfume scented! I love it as a body soap but really did not like it for my hair. It is a great body wash and I did find it hydrating as a body wash, but for my hair, it made it feel dry and was a bit hard to wash out. The ends of my hair are pretty dry to begin with so if you have more oily hair this may work perfectly, but for my hair and its needs, this was just not the thing to help. But! As far as a body bar goes, I love it! Like I said it has a very fresh smell, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling overly dried or stripped once I am out of the shower. And since it is a bar, it does exfoliate a little bit while you wash with it too.

I love this one so much!! I absolutely love the smell of lavender so of course, I love this one, but the scent is by no means overwhelming or too flowery and is perfectly balanced with a little spice. I think this is meant to be a body soap, but when I did use it on my body it was a tiny bit irritating (I have very sensitive skin) but when I use it as a hand soap I seem to have no issue. I am attributing this to the essential oils in the soap, but since the other one doesn’t irritate my skin, I am happy to have this as a hand soap!

I have never used a bath tea, but I absolutely loved these two! They both smell heavenly, they produce amazing bubbles, and the fact that it changes the water to different colors is honestly just fun. My skin feels super soft after I soak with either one and I smell delicious. The Pure Bliss one does turn the water a yellow/orange color that is fairly odd for a bath I assume, but it smells great and the bubbles make it that much better.

This lotion is heavenly!!! I am absolutely love it. It has a very thick and creamy consistency without being greasy, it is incredibly moisturizing even on my crazy dry skin, and it smells like you are laying in the middle of an orange field on a summer day. What more could you truly want out of a lotion?

As you can all see, I really do like the items I have listed above here and when I run out I will be purchasing some more for myself! As always when it comes to things you are putting on your skin, you really need to know your body and know if it will irritate or anger it in anyway. What works for some may not work for you and thats ok! But if you are looking for some new body products I highly recommend you give these guys a try, they really are awesome quality, and over here we love a small, women run business!
