Follow the Sun

I absolutely love being in the sun. I was born in California and lived there for the first 10 years of my life, so I blame my sun addiction and need to be very warm on that, but! I somehow ended up living in the PNW for the last several years where the sun only exists from the end of May to sometimes October. So when the sun comes out in March, and it isn’t windy and freezing, we go take photos! I also just spent so much time sitting in the sun and relaxing after taking photos, but it really is an opportunity to grab some awesome light when the sun is finally out! A few posts ago (this one here) I talked about doing the Girl Dangerous $30 mystery bag, and this top is another one I got from there! This was really the first opportunity I had to wear it, and I am stoked for summer to get to wear it more!

This top is the perfect burnt orange for my skin tone. I am so painfully pale that when I wear yellows or oranges I tend to look like I have jaundice so this is the perfect color for us pale folks out there. It is also so summery and pairs so well with light washed denim and I have so many denim shorts in light wash colors that this summer I can’t wait to wear it all summer long. It is also the most flattering shape that this top would look great on any body type.

I purchased this sweater a few years ago with my employee discount at a store I used to work at. It’s from Billabong and definitely isn’t in production anymore, but it is the most perfect quality, colors, and adds a lovely boho touch to whatever I pair it with. It is neutral enough that even if color isn’t your thing, it will mesh well in your wardrobe and still be super wearable. I linked a similar one down below!
