Finally Fall

This post is a little late….especially considering the fact that it has snowed at least 3 times since I took these photos and we have fully skipped fall and catapulted straight into winter. The main reason this post is so late? I caught Covid. Yep, after almost 3 years into the pandemic, still wearing a mask, still avoiding crowds, and taking every other precaution I could, it caught me and it took me down. As I type this, I am 7 days into Covid and finally starting to feel like a person again. I still have a cough and some congestion, and no taste or smell as of today, but overall I am starting to feel better. So hopefully I am back to posting like normal again!

Please enjoy this lovely fall moment, even as I bundle up and watch it snow.

This dress will be fun to wear in the summer and spring, but I love the way it looks with this sweater. These are both recent purchases of mine, and both I was on the waitlist for my size for many weeks. Since this dress is a darker floral, it’s the perfect dress to move freely between seasons. I am not one to dress specifically for seasons (I love to layer) but if you are, then dark florals work perfectly. This dress is a little large around the bust for me, but if I had gone down a size it wouldn’t fit my hips and be way too short. So a little boob tape or a jacket/ sweater over the top will more than suffice!

Finding this sweater was perfect. I had been hunting for a good green sweater, and one that was slightly over sized (just what I prefer in my sweaters) and then finally I found this one through none other then my favorite, Free People! This sweater is perfect for jeans, leggings, skirts or dresses. It also comes in many different colors if the green isn’t for you. But trust me, this sweater is so dreamy and everyone in colder climates need it!

Thanks for your patience while I’ve been sick and having surgery! Now that I have use both of my hands back and I can sit up again, I am back on track and ready to go! See you guys next week.
