Another One Mile Outfit (Not Sorry About It)
Oh, look, another outfit full of One Mile! I know I have posted about them a ton, but it’s for good reason! Every piece I have received from them has been amazing quality and there is no buyer remorse because they are all made sustainable AND they give back with every purchase. What is not to love? Plus it is a female-founded and female ran business which we all know is my favorite. The most recent acquisition I have from them is this amazing two-piece set of comfortable shorts and a matching crewneck in the most delicious oatmeal shade! It is the perfect transition outfit for those of us in the States as we transition from winter to spring. Before we jump into the fashion portion of this post, let’s talk about iChange, the company One Mile works with to donate proceeds of each sale to the various causes they work with.
This is a screenshot of the message I got after I purchased my set from One Mile! The proceeds from my purchase went towards getting girls feminine hygiene products so they can continue to go to school in countries where they usually do not have access to these products. In certain countries, when they don’t have access to menstrual products they are forced to stay home from school, which can then make it harder for them to further their education if they so choose because they missed so much. Another great company for this kind of outreach is Cora pads and tampons sold here in the states at most drug stores. They are made with organic cotton which is better for your body, and then every box you purchase, they send a box to girls who don’t have access. As much fun as it is to buy a quick t-shirt from a fast-fashion retailer, it is so much better for the planet and for the people living on it if we can put our money towards brands that support causes like this one.
Ok enough of my soapbox! On with the fashion shoot!
Even during the pandemic, I haven’t been one for matching loungewear sets because I have a job outside of my house. I still have a retail job I have to wear regular clothing to so most of my shopping budget has gone towards clothes I can wear to work. BUT! With this set, it was perfect since I have no sweat shorts like to be comfy in, and I can wear the crewneck with jeans or leggings to work if I wanted to, and I have honestly done that a lot! It is really is the perfect transition set because even though it is pretty warm and cozy, it is not fleece-lined, so even once we are more into summer here I can wear the shorts and not be melting, and toss the crewneck on in the evenings if I am going to be outside!
The shorts sit up pretty high-waisted which is amazing and they are long enough that they don’t get too short sitting high-waisted. These babies would be perfect to fly in this summer, awesome to go run errands in or to toss over a swimsuit if you needed. Since it is still a little bit chilly here I have been mostly wearing them around my apartment which has been just as nice.
The crewneck is equally as comfortable as the shorts and just as versatile. It is the perfect length on the sleeves and the hem, it is such the perfect color that it goes with black, blue jeans, my red plaid leggings, all of it! I think it would also look super cute with some denim shorts this summer and some sandals, or even over a sundress if I needed a cozy layer in the evenings. As I said, I have been wearing the crewneck non-stop and I truly could not recommend this set more!
Thank you all for coming over here today! I know it wasn’t that crazy of a shoot but it was fun and slightly different than the shoots I usually get to do! See you all tomorrow! (Or maybe Thursday because to be honest, that’s how this week is shaping up)
