Casual Holiday Look

I am not gonna lie: this post was meant to go up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. This was going to be a whole “what to wear to Thanksgiving so you can look cute and still be comfortable”, but then I got sick and it spiraled into a full-on pain flare and here we are a week later. But hey I am only human and these are the adjustments we must make sometimes! While I did intend this for a different holiday, I think this could still be a cute outfit for the Christmas season as well!

While the exact color or pattern of the pants is up to you, you need to get a good pair of fabric trousers that are comfortable. I originally got these pants for work, but they are so comfortable and stretchy that they are perfect for holiday meals. They shape in all of the right spots, you can sit in them for hours and not feel uncomfortable, you can style them with oversized tops or slight ones, and they are great with boots or sandals! A good pair of trousers like these are perfect for whatever weather you are spending the holidays in. Plus, most holidays include family, and a lot of families include kids! Being around kids is a lot safer in pants than in a dress.

As I said before, a good pair of pants like these are great with an oversized sweater or a tighter top/bodysuit. I am a fan of the oversized look; it just feels so much cozier especially during the holidays. This one is perfect because it’s oversized, but it also has details and shapes to it to help you feel like its more styled. Getting sweaters that are all different colors, textures and fits will help you get through the winter season feeling like you have more creativity than you actually do. Depending on what the weather is like where you live, you can easily add a cute jacket over the top to keep you toasty and add a little something extra to the outfit!
