90's Summer Vibes
Hello hello, lovelies! I am happy to bring forth this photoshoot for you today! These are pieces I have had for quite a while and I have shot this bodysuit before, but I have re-styled it and am happy to show off yet another way to style this super cute bodysuit from Free People. Money is tight for so many people right now and there is nothing wrong with taking the same pieces you have had in your closet for years and reworking them to make a whole new outfit you haven’t worn before! I have been doing this a lot lately since money is a bit tight for me at the moment, and it can be a bit frustrating when you love clothes and can’t buy new ones, but it can really make your creative spark to re-style things. Keep scrolling to see how I have re-styled two of my favorite pieces in my closet!
These shoes are the 90s, chunky, platform things of my dreams. I love these sandals so much and wear them all summer long with all sorts of outfits. They get better the more I wear them and the more they get worn in. They pair perfectly with skirts (like I have them here), dresses, and jeans. They are very comfortable for being platforms and are made so well I don’t see them being broken down or worn out any time soon. Same with the bodysuit! If you have been following me for a while I’m sure you saw this bodysuit featured last summer (you can find it here) and I love it even more now that I have had it for a while. As far as bodysuits go, this one is very comfortable and easy to wear all day. I have yet to come across any other bodysuit that comfortable. Plus the cutest v-neck and pocket detailing!
I got this skirt a few years back as a gift and since then I have been reworking it yearly. How I would wear it in high school has drastically changed to how I wear it now. I will say I wear it less over the years but it is still a fun piece I bring out when I am bored with my wardrobe and need to make things a little more fun. I have a few pieces like this from high school that I don’t wear very often, but I always keep when I clean out my closet so that I can have them leftover for moments like this: re-stying, closet boredom, and when I cannot think of anything else to wear. Comes in handy!
Tomorrow I have a political post about all of the insanity happening in Portland and around the country with the unmarked feds creating worse violence in the cities they are in. Stay tuned!
