Minty Fresh

Hello hello, friends! There is so much going on in the world and I wanted this to be a place where we can take a break and look to something more fun and come together over a mutual love of fashion. Even though this is a pretty simple outfit, I still wanted to showcase it! It’s not something I would have probably picked for myself right off the bat, but I was trying to come up with some different ways to style this blazer, and thanks to Pinterest for giving me some ideas, we ended up with this outfit!

First things first; I could not figure out what to do with my hair. If you follow me on social media then you are well aware of my current plight and predicament with my hair. I want/need a haircut, some layers, and to stop wearing it straight for the time being. But every morning that I run late ends up being a morning I straighten my hair and then hate it. I have a very round face, and while this usually isn’t something I think twice about when I attempt to do this slick-back look everyone is loving right now, I cannot help but see how round my face is and how weird this looks. I also was a ballerina for most of my life and had a slicked-back hairstyle for class and most shows so it also invokes those kinds of moments for me. So I did what I could here and gave it a shot both ways!

One trend I have embraced so much more recently has been the biker short! I talked about this in my post a while back, and my love has only grown for them now that I own them and haven’t just tried them on. They are really just leggings for summer and who doesn’t love that? As tricky as it can be to dress comfortably in summer, biker shorts really do make all the difference. They are so versatile and can be worn in many different ways; this outfit I have here is something I would wear to a laid-back brunch or coffee with friends or run errands around town. I love a good sundress as much as the next person, but some days you need a little variety.

I have been into the blazer trend for quite a while but had never found the right one to style. I am a relatively small person and even though I love the oversized look, there is such a thing as too oversized and I can look like I am drowning in my clothes pretty easily. So far, this is the first one I have found that is perfectly oversized, and not too tailored, but I could maneuver it into a more professional look if I needed to. Plus this color and its entire color family is my favorite. So it was a no-brainer!

A little short style post today, I have been posting much more on my Instagram and Tik Tok the way that I come to style these outfits. I am really working on the branding of things moving forward so expect to see some changes and hopefully some fun new aesthetics and themes!

See you guys next week!
