Winter Blues

As much fun as winter fashion can be, it can get a little repetitive especially when it comes to having to dress for cold temps. It is easy to wear jeans with big socks and boots and a massive sweater, but they get so boring. This week alone I wore 4 different pants, boots, and sweater combinations and was finally sick of it. So here we go!

This is an absolutely gorgeous slip dress from One Mile the Label (my fave) and is definitely not meant to be worn this way, but simply could not wait to wear it until the summer! First of all, this color is to die for. It is even more vibrant in person and I cannot get over how perfect it is. It is the truest royal blue piece of clothing I have ever owned. Once the weather warms up I will definitely be showing off the back of this bad boy so you can all see the gloriousness that is the back of this dress. It is totally open with some small details at the shoulder and it is just too perfect!

The rest of this look are items I have worn many times before (except maybe the tights) but overall this look is perfect for winter date night, a fun day out and about, or even if you were headed to a concert or show! This is the best way to get a slip dress to be multi-functional in winter and still look hot. Adding in these little elements for the added benefit of staying warm doesn’t have to look frumpy or overly layered up. I am obviously a huge fan of layers, but when you put on a sweat set and sneakers, and a puffer coat, you expect to be a little poofy. But sometimes, even in the 20-degree weather, you want to be sexy.

That’s all for this post! I have really been enjoying getting back into the swing of things and have many more fun posts coming down the pipeline! I am also working on a new design and look for the blog, and once I get through some technical difficulties, I can unveil that as well.

See you all next week!
