Shades of Green

As much as I love a good fancy fashion moment and getting decked out in a perfectly styled outfit, I am the biggest fan of sweatshirts. Maybe it’s from growing up in super cold places, maybe it’s simply because I love to be cozy always, but I have more sweatshirts than any other clothing item. They work with skirts to dress them down, you can wear them with leggings or jeans, and they always look cool. Below is my newest sweatshirt acquisition and some leggings in the perfect shade of green. Keep on scrolling if you need your new go-to cozy outfit!

Let’s start with the crewneck, shall we? This is a one-size-fits-all, purposefully oversized sweatshirt, that is so incredibly comfortable I haven’t really taken it off much since I got it. The inside is so incredibly soft, and honestly so is the outside. I haven’t really supported Brandy Melville over the past few years because the brand is very size restricted, but this was so soft and so oversized I gave in just this once. Since it is this light heathered grey, it matches everything from black jeans to these green leggings. Like I said before, I am a sucker for a good sweatshirt, and this one ticked all my boxes.

I have been searching for leggings in this color for several years now. I had a pair in high school that I loved and wore until they ripped, but finding another similar pair was almost impossible. Luckily I work at a mall and happened to be walking by Forever 21 while they were re-dressing a mannequin. As many of you know I have been trying to limit my fast fashion purchases and trying to only purchase from smaller stores and ethical shops, but I felt better about these leggings than I normally would. These leggings are made from recycled cotton. Now obviously this is still going to a brand that has a history of bad practices, but more and more fast fashion brands are making the move to do things like this and create lines that are better for the environment. H&M also recently created a line that is all recycled material that has been sold out at my local store for weeks. In order to keep items like this coming out, we have to keep purchasing them! These leggings are super high-waisted which I love, the perfect stretch and comfort levels, and they come in an assortment of colors if you aren’t obsessed with this color like me.
