90s Girl Band Aesthetic
Hello hello, my lovely people! Not to toot my own horn but this week I have actually managed to post on the days I have set out for myself as posting days. Let’s all cross our fingers that this is me turning over a new leaf and being on top of it and not a fluke occurrence! Today’s post is a fun one, thought up and conceptualized with the help of my lovely sister. I borrowed this top from here, and then the rest just fell into place: the bright shoes, the leather blazer, the pink winged eyeliner! It was a whole vibe and ended up coming out looking like something Posh Spice would wear on her day off. We had so much fun with this shoot, and the 90s attitude really came through.
Let’s start with the glitter top. It’s fitted, cropped, and has the perfect amount of metallic that makes it shiny and sparkly but if glitter isn’t your thing you could still wear it. It is high necked and very stretchy so if you have tiny boobs like me, it makes them look good. If you have larger boobs, it holds them in while still making them look awesome. It is cropped pretty short but if that makes you uncomfortable some high wasted jeans solve that problem! This top would also look very cute with some denim shorts or a denim skirt in the summer with a pair of chunky sandals.
The other most important part of this outfit is of course the blazer. As many times as I have sung Dressed in Lala’s praises, I just can’t stop. This is another one of their best items and I am so glad I was able to snag it! It is a vegan leather, a long-line blazer that goes perfectly with anything. Literally anything! I have been into the blazer look lately and this is my favorite I have found so far. It goes over t-shirts, going-out tops, or hoodies so perfectly and adds a fun level of edge to any outfit. I can’t stop wearing it, and every wardrobe needs this one. Seriously, everyone needs it immediately.
