Denim Shorts to Die For

Welcome back lovelies! Apologies for my sporadic posting the past couple weeks; my computer is on its last leg and I am it’s mercy for when it feels like working for me. Things might continue to be a little sporadic until I get a new laptop, so just bear with me! It is no secret that I love denim. I have written about this before but in case you missed it, I could wear denim 24/7. Sure, in the summer when it’s crazy a sundress is much cooler, but I love the look of denim and the way one can style it in so many ways. These shorts are my new holy grail!

Most of us have gained a bit of weight in quarantine, and I am no exception. I also somehow managed to start gaining some muscle back in my booty and legs from hiking, which leads to an odd combination, and none of my shorts fitting. American Eagle has been having some pretty awesome sales going on since they have reopened and I am so glad they did because of these shorts!! When it comes to my denim shorts I usually prefer them to be a lot more fitted, but I tried these on since I love the color and the distressed detail. And WOW! Not only are they incredibly soft denim, but the fit is INCREDIBLE.

They are high waisted enough to wear with crop tops and look amazing with tighter fitting tops but I think you could get away with a flowier cropped top if you wanted. I have been living in these shorts since I got them a couple of weeks ago, and they have yet to disappoint. We have been hitting the high 90s here in Oregon for the last week and these stood up to the test of the heat! Even when it was hot and humid, these shorts didn’t chafe or get uncomfortable one time! Not once. Since they are the “mom short” fit, they are meant to be worn loose and slightly baggy, which means they would fit great for any body type.
