MMM Picks September
I know it’s a little late, but I haven’t missed one MMM Picks yet so I figured better late than never! I wanted to do a little round-up of some fall wardrobe staples I think every woman should have in her closet before fall really kicks off! This is just a couple pieces that I think will help up everyone’s wardrobe game for some cozy fall moments, that will translate well into winter!
This is a must no matter what your style is. I prefer the pullover style becasue it allows you to use it over a dress during the winter and create a skirt and top kind of effect. Plus pull overs go much better under jackets than cardigans do! A white or cream pullover sweater is a must for all wardrobes! I know white can be a daunting color, but it seriously is such a staple piece that you need to risk a stain or two to get it. Plus, a simple mixture of peroxide, baking soda and dish soap will get any stain out without compromising your clothes (thanks mom)!
Another pullover for all the same reasons, but this time in black! Sometimes you just need a darker color, because white does not go with everything. I also love this one because it looks casual enough that it could probably double as a sweatshirt and made to be a lot more casual. We love a good bang for our buck over here, especially in this economy.
Black dresses are crucial! I don’t care what style it is, everyone is entitled to their own style, but it needs to be something versatile. A black dress is a greta staple for all seasons and the best way to do it is to get one you can wear for all season ( or one for spring/summer and one for fall/winter). This was just released this morning and I am in love with it. It is the perfect feminine vibes but with a little edge, and it feels very witchy which is always a good thing in my book! Dress it up, dress it down, do whatever! A black dress is a very important staple for all wardrobes.
Everyone needs a good pair of black boots. It doesn’t have to be doc martens (they are just my favorite) but a good black or brown pair of combat boots is needed for fall. They with everything and are perfect for whatever you are doing. Pumpkin patch? Boots. Corn maze? Boots. Apple picking? Boots. Do you sense a theme here? Get yourself a good pair of boots.
Last but not least, everyone needs a good pair of distressed denim. It doesn’t have to be insane or over the top rips, but a little is perfect to add a little style to whatever else you are wearing. This is a great staple to have just in general but they are perfect for going into fall and winter.
